I just finished watching Crash. If you haven’t seen it, see it. Visions of Magnolia are dancing in my head, but this seemed to be a more refined offering. Much to think about. Thoughts on Crash?

Ipod Worship Resolves Music Preference Stress

After hearing about Keith Drury at a recent conference I attended, I’ve found a sarcastic kindred spirit.

Today is the last day of summer. It always makes me second guess all the times I stayed inside and should have been outside. Each year I depress Krista at the end of the summer by saying “there goes another summer, I only have 46 or so of them left now.”

When I was a kid, I used to like fall the best. We didn’t turn on the air conditioning much and the dog turned our backyard into a dusty land-mine field. But now I enjoy summer the most. I’m sure some of it has to do with the fact that I’m off for two months. But now it’s more about no shoes and daylight.

Goodbye summer. When it’s January and I don’t even want to walk outside, I’ll think of you and how all those old people are smart for going to Arizona or Florida or southern California. We weren’t built for this kind of cold weather. This must be a result of the fall. Sin=January north of the Equator.

I first got hooked on the Potter series when Krista read them aloud to me as we drove out to California. Now I can’t get enough of them, especially since book 6 came out. The Goblet of Fire film has the potential (from the looks of the pre-release items) to be better than the first three. November cannot come quickly enough.

I taught guitar lessons today for the first time in about 5 years. I’m not sure who learned more, the students or me. Teaching a private lesson is very different from the classroom. Add a shy 12 year old with a really out of tune guitar to the mix and you’ve got a recipe for an interesting afternoon

Even though I like all my audio with me (more than 2 or 4 GBs) and already have an iPod, I still want one.

Talk Like A Pirate Day – September 19

As you would expect, I will not be talking like a pirate today. Unfortunatley, it looks like my friend Michael Gowin will be.
