I caught the end of The Peanuts Thanksgiving Special last night. I enjoy Charlie Brown and the gang, but I was disturbed last evening.

At the end, Woodstock and Snoopy eat a Thanksgiving meal. Woodstock eats turkey, and then gets the lucky side of the wish bone, to boot. Is this cannibalism, bird style? Is woodstock aware that he’s eating a close relative? What is Charles Schultz really trying to say here?

The Night of Film begins at 7 this evening. First, Krista and I will travel to the historic Castle Theater for a fund raiser showing of Millions, then we head to the Palace for the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

We’ll be documenting the whole evening via video and audio, so stay tuned for high society and Potter geeks, back to back.

I just picked up the Ragamuffin Gospel: Visual Edition. I love this version. Charles Brock has done a subtle and seductive job of matching text and image. And, for a book with this much high quality graphical material, it’s actually affordable.

I’m on my way tonight to pick up tickets (hopefully) for the midnight showing of The Goblet of Fire on Thursday. Krista and I will be fighting sleep and strange people dressed in costume. More reports to come.

UPDATE: The tickets have been secured. I will now pick up my half moon spectacles from Pete (who has been hoarding them since the release of Book 6).
